I had an Auzzie dog and chickens. She tried to kill them. I

also had turkeys and she was better with them. They were bigger.

They won't lay eggs if they are stressed from your dog. Your house should

should get sheep or work with a dog trainer.

Are you going to teach ur aussie to herd? It depends on how old

ur hens are as to when they lay eggs. If ur dog is going to be herding them

shelter. My nest boxes are about 6 inches off the ground. You probably only
need two. You need to rake out the pen every couple of weeks minimum
unless you are going to let them roam some. I have 12 mixed cochins & 15
buff orpingtons. They pretty much have the run of our place but I still
have to muck out the pen once in a while. I also keep a light sprinkle of
sevin dust in the boxes to keep out lice & mites. Hope this helps.
